Burial Services
Farmington Memorial Park is able to accommodate most requested burial times, including late afternoon, without any additional charges. Weekend burials are a special option, that works well for many families that may work during the week.
Our Burial Services include Opening & Closing of the gravesite. A cement liner is installed in the grave. We provide the use of a lowering device for the casket to be placed and green carpets (weather permitting). Chairs are available for rental in increments of ten and a temporary marker in placed on the grave following the burial.
Graveside Service
In cases graveside services are the final segment of a service that has started at a church, funeral home, or other places and culminates at the burial site. Sometimes the graveside service encompasses the entire service or sometimes there is no service at
the graveside. This is called a direct burial.
Graveside services, practices and traditions vary widely depending on the wishes of the family. There is virtually no limit to the options for these services, usually supervised by the funeral home. These include addresses by the clergy, personal testimonies by family members and many other options. We have contacts willing to provide clergy and other services. The casket may or not be lowered during the graveside service at the direction of the family.
